To sprinkle some goodness on your Monday arvo, Luke Wilson – who starred as good man Emmett Richmond in Legally Blonde – is absolutely keen to reprise his role in the third film.
Wilson played Elle Woods‘ love interest (not bonehead Warner Huntington III) who she met when she started studying at Harvard Law School.
Back in June of last year, Reese Witherspoon revealed news of a third instalment in the most Elle Woods way possible – by recreating part of her iconic application video.
Witherspoon captioned the video: “It’s true… #LegallyBlonde3”
Since the announcement, fans have been waiting and waiting for news about the film but Witherspoon has been rather tight-lipped about the whole thing. Of course, she’s also busy with Big Little Lies, her clothing line, and the launch of her two unscripted series so can’t blame her.
Luckily, there’s her ol’ cast members to pester.
Chatting to ET Online this past weekend, Wilson revealed he would love to do a third movie.
“I’d definitely be up for it,” he told the publication. “All I’ve heard is the same thing everyone else has heard, it’s that they might be doing a Legally Blonde 3. But I can’t imagine anything that would be more fun. Reese played such a great character. I’d love to do a Legally Blonde 3.”
Fellow OG star Holland Taylor – who played intimidating but excellent Professor Stormwell – told Us Weekly she’d also reprise her role.
“If they don’t have that character back as a Supreme Court justice or an even more elevated professor or as part of the government, they’re crazy,” Taylor told the publication back in October.
And look, she’s not wrong.
