It seems Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper could be keeping their on-screen romance alive in CGI form, with rumours that she will play his love interest in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3.
Gags and Cooper played a pair of doomed lovers in last year’s A Star Is Born. There have been rumours of a real-life romance between them, especially given his recent split from Irina Shayk, but nothing is confirmed.
Per the unnamed source who started the Lady Gaga casting rumours:
“Only some cast names have been released, but the word is Bradley will reprise his role of Rocket Raccoon and Gaga will play his love interest …”
The source continued:
“Their characters are animated but still, it’s exciting. Audiences want them together and certainly everyone recognizes that appeal, they’re box office gold together, it’s very likely that this will happen.”
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 found itself in limbo after Marvel and Disney fired director James Gunn, over a series of decade-old Tweets.
The cast of the film signed an open letter giving their full support to the director, and Dave Bautista even threatened to walk off the third film in protest.
Gunn was eventually reinstated, and the film is currently set for release in 2021.
