Kyle Sandilands Loses Austereo Shitloads Of Cash

Big bad wolf Kyle Sandilands‘ week is going from bad to worse with his highly-publicised misogynistic outburst on air costing his network nearly 16 major advertisers.

Since calling news.com.au reporter Alison Stephenson a ‘fat slag’ (among other niceties), Sandilands has lost Austereo (which control 2Day FM, the station which hosts his show) a huge range of advertising clients including Big W, Coles, Holden, Toys R Us, Fantastic Furniture, Blackmores, Crazy John’s, Vodafone, Medibank, American Express, Ford, Lexus, Blackberry, Olympus and Piazza D’oro. It’s estimated that the financial loss is in the realm of $8 millon.

Much of Sandilands’ downfall has been engineered by fed-up Australian citizens, banding together via social media. The #vilekyle movement has gained some serious traction in the past few days, as has this petition for women’s rights, currently sitting on nearly 19,000 signatures.

We say good riddance to bad rubbish.
