2020’s Latest Plot Twist: Kourtney K’s Been Cast In She’s All That Remake W/ BFF Addison Rae

In 2020’s latest plot twist, Kourtney Kardashian, reality star with almost no acting experience, has been cast in the remake of iconic 1999 film She’s All That, titled He’s All That.

Kourt confirmed the news via Instagram (ofc), by sharing a piccy of her laying on her bed reading a script. She captioned the pic: “studying @hesallthatmovie.”

The film’s official Instagram reposted the pic and revealed Kardashian’s character’s name, captioning it “Introducing Jessica Miles Torres.”

Kourtney will star alongside her bestie, TikTok queen Addison Rae who will play Padgett Sawyer, similar to Freddie Prinze Jr.’s role in the original.

Also starring in the flick will be Andrew Matarazzo, Vanessa Dubasso, Myra Malloy, Annie Jacob, Brian Torres, Romel De Silva, Tiffany Simon. Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Dominic Goodman and Ryan Hollis.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Rae recently shared her excitement about pursuing an acting career, though she did not reveal that her bestie Kourtney was starring alongside her (sneaky sneaky).

“When I was younger, I was constantly in acting or dance classes and always loved drama class in school,” she says. “One of the craziest parts of this year has been the ability to pursue so many of my passions – capping it off with starring in my first movie!”

As for Kourtney Kardashian, aside from her lengthy reality TV career, her only other acting experience is a one-episode appearance on American soap opera One Life to Live, playing a character named Kassandra Kavanaugh (note the Ks).

The remake features a modern twist on the original, as Rae’s character is a hot, popular social media influencer who decides to turn her school’s biggest nerd into a prom king after being dumped by her boyfriend.

In the OG, Rachael Leigh Cook played the outcast, Laney Boggs.

Also starring in the film is Tanner Buchanan, who told PEOPLE that working with the social media influencer “is such a treat.”

“She really came into this movie with so much drive, hard work and passion to show her abilities as an actor,” says Buchanan.

Buchanan will play the boy who gets a makeover by Rae’s character. While the actor couldn’t reveal too much about the film, he did say he loved “that the gender roles are reversed.”

“That the girl is the one ‘making over’ the guy,” he said. “In reality, they’re both making over each other into better people, like in She’s All That. It really holds true to the original story, but is just updated in a way that feels current…cell phones and social media are pretty integral parts of our lives now!”

There’s no more tea on the flick yet, but stay tuned for a trailer and more sneaky shots from Kourtney Kardashian.
