The Interactive ‘Kimmy Schmidt’ Special Arrives In May & You Get To Choose How It All Ends

Kimmy Schmidt

The almighty beings at Netflix have finally unleashed the trailer for the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special. The isolation content just keeps on coming, baby!

Your adored favourites, Ellie KemperTituss BurgessJane KrakowskiCarol Kane, and Jon Hamm, return in the special in which you get to choose how the story ends. Joining them is the one and only Daniel Radcliffe.

The gist is that Kimmy (Kemper) is about to have her biggest adventure yet and you’re in charge of it. Think Black Mirror: Bandersnatch choose-your-own adventure vibes. Will you destroy the Reverend’s (Hamm) evil plan and get Kimmy to her wedding on time? Or will you simply allow shit to hit the fan? The choice is yours. Also, expect explosions, a dancing hamburger, and the whole adventure to stretch across three states. We’re in for a chaotic ride, tell ya what.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend hits Netflix Australia May 12, at 5.00pm AEST.

CHAOS.

Sarah Chase, Lauren Adams, Donna Maria, Amy Sedaris, Michael Carlsen, Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell, Jack McBrayer, and Johnny Knoxville have also joined the cast of the special.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, from creators Tiny Fey and Robert Carlock, came to an end in early 2019 after four fabulous seasons. But during FYsee – Netflix’s annual original program event – Fey confirmed Kimmy’s story would continue via interactive special.

The month of May will also welcome Space Force, Netflix’s new workplace comedy starring and co-created by Steve Carell. It is going straight on the list.

Space Force focuses on decorated pilot / four-star general Mark R. Naird (Carell) who dreams of running the Air Force one day. But things don’t quite go to plan when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.

John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake star.

How bloody good.
