We’ve known that it’s been coming for a while, but now it’s apparently official, with reports that Kim Kardashian has finally filed for divorce from Kanye West.
TMZ broke the news earlier today, and they tend to be pretty spot on with this sort of thing, so we’ll go ahead and assume that this is the real deal.
According to their sources, the split seems like it’s actually going to be a pretty clean and amicable divorce, with the couple agreeing on key details.
Kim is reportedly asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s children, and Kanye is apparently fine with this, with the two committing to co-parenting.
The pair also have a prenuptial agreement, and per their mates, neither one is contesting it, so the are already “far along” in terms of dividing up their assets.
Back in January, friends of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West spoke out about the end of their marriage, with one saying that things hit the fan in early December.
“Kanye blew up at Kim and she was really upset,” the source claimed. “Things between them don’t seem to have healed since that.”
The couple had been living apart, with her in LA and him on his ranch in Wyoming, and there were reports that his failed presidential run also drove a wedge.
She was also very upset by his Twitter outburst last year, with his talk of their personal and family life said to be the “final straw” for her.
