Kim K Says She’s A Totally Different Person Since The Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian-West has spoken to Ellen DeGeneres about her much-publicised robbery in Paris last year, telling the talk show host that she is a “changed person” and believes that the robbery was “meant to happen.”

Kardashian was tied up in her Paris apartment by several assailants, who stole $10M worth of jewellery. It launched an enormous investigation by French police.
Speaking to Ellen, Kim said she knew that it was “meant to happen to [her].”
I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don’t want to start crying, but I feel like that was so meant to happen to meI’m such a different person. I don’t want to start crying anymore. It was meant to happen to me. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things. It was probably no secret — and you see it on the show — I was being flashy and I was definitely materialistic before.
She followed on, saying that she doesn’t consider herself as materialistic and flashy anymore. Whether or not that’s true, it’s definitely the case that her public appearances have been far more reserved than they were before the robbery.
“I just don’t care about that stuff anymore. I really don’t,” she says to Ellen. “I don’t care to show off the way that I used to. Even though there’s nothing wrong, truly, it’s okay if you’re proud of that and you work so hard and you get something. It’s just not who I am anymore.”
