Since making her feud with Sarah Jessica Parker public news, Kim Cattrall has been quite the sassquatch (that’s my word for sass queen), both in interviews and on social media.
The latest drop of shade being an Instagram post from the set of an unknown movie or TV show, where the actress appears holding a dawg, and she’s captioned it with: “When your co-star is a real dog.”
Do we detect a hint of shade there? Well her fans certainly do, as they’ve flooded the comments section with speculation that the post was meant as a dig at Sarah Jessica Parker.
It very well could be a reach, but as I said, Kim Cattrall has been mud-slinging at Sarah Jessica Parker in the press and on social media for years now. She bloody well wants people to know that the IRL Carrie and Samantha are not soul mates. Far from it.
There have been several interviews that have subsequently gone viral where Kim slams her former co-star. In one, she said that she and SJP “were never friends… we were colleagues.”
And in another, she said she never wants to reprise her role in Sex and the City again because “I don’t want to be in a situation for even an hour where I’m not enjoying myself.”
Meanwhile on social media, she’s also been making it clear where things stand between the two. When SJP sent Kim her condolences on Instagram following the death of her brother, Kim ripped into SJP, writing: “My Mum asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
And ever since the Sex and the City revival (titled And Just Like That) was announced, Kim has been dropping cryptic posts on Instagram that are seemingly pointed at her former co-star.
Just days after the announcement, Kim shared a coupla shots out in nature, two of which were captioned with the word “breathe,” which I believe to be her way of saying that she’s still breathing and doing just fine, despite not being attached to the new show.

Fans also noticed that Kim liked a tweet that applauded her for declining to appear in the revival.
The tweet read, “I absolutely love Sex and the City and whilst I am saddened that Samantha will not return, I applaud doing what is best for you and think this is great example of putting yourself first. Well done @KimCattrall.”
There’s also this post from just five days ago. The pic is a scene from Sex and the City and the caption reads: “Hot but not bothered,” as in she’s unbothered by And Just Like That.
So was the dog comment aimed at Sarah Jessica Parker? Who knows. I just wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy. <3
