Keira Maguire Offers A Warning To Future Bachie Hopefuls, Saying The Show Has Gone ‘Too Far’

Of all the players in the Bachelor Australia franchise, Keira Maguire is defs one of the most recognisable. Not just because she delivered peak chaotic energy in every episode she appeared on, but because she starred in three different seasons of the franchise, The Bachelor and two seasons of Bachelor In Paradise.

Therefore, I reckon your girl knows what she’s talking about when it comes to the magic of reality television.

The ex contestant sat down for an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential where she discussed the show’s steady decline, claiming producers have “taken it too far” with editing.

“I feel like they have taken it too far when it comes to editing and ‘frankenbiting’ people’s voices and actually putting words in people’s mouths,” Keira Maguire told the paper. (Editor’s note: Frankenbiting is where reality TV producers create their own storyline by stitching scenes together to fit their narrative).

At the Channel Ten upfronts recently, it was announced that Bachelor In Paradise was being held off for 2021, but The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will still go ahead.

So for contestants brave enough to sign on for future seasons of the franchise, Keira Maguire has some sage advice.

“If they want the show to go a certain way, they fully narrate the way they want it to be. It’s really hectic, that’s the level Australia is getting to. You’re basically signing your life away,” she claimed.

Despite not finding love on any of the aforementioned seasons of the franchise that she starred in, Keira is now in a happy relationship with another Aussie reality star, Love Island hottie Matt Zukowski. Bless.
