Dear gods of post-reality TV contestant-turned-minor-celebrity hook-ups: please, please, please make this happen.
As we’re all aware, the runner-up of this year’s Bachelorette and second in line to the heart of Australia‘s darling Sophie Monk was vineyard manager and… intense bloke Jarrod Woodgate.
Thursday night saw Sophie leave him broken-hearted on a Fiji beach, while she swanned off to be with her age-appropriate billionaire publican beau Stu Laundy – and although the ep filmed months ago, according to an Instagram post from just after the finale, the poor bloke really doesn’t seem to be over it, saying:
Falling in love is such an incredible experience & really is the best feeling in the world. My heart will heal & I wouldn’t change a single moment.
Even though we were definitely guilty of calling him a stage-5 clinger, it’s hard not to feel bad for the bloke – even if he was, y’know, very clingy.
But there may still be hope for the ex-Army man, in the form of ex-Bachie lady Keira Maguire.
Yes: that Keira.
The Bachelor villain has moseyed into the comments section of ol’ Jarrod’s Insta post, and left the most succinct of conciliatory messages: a single love heart.
What could it mean? A simple message of support from one spat-out romance-reality TV contestant to another?
Or the start of a beautiful and extremely gossip-worthy affair that will bring the 31-year-old wine guy and the 30-year-old Insta model / brand ambassador together over several social media channels until they finally merge into one chimaera of entertainment value, both wonderful and terrible to behold?
Once again, O gods of reality TV: please, PLEASE make this happen.
