Katherine Langford of 13 Reasons Why has landed a major coup for her next role, with reports that she has signed on to appear in Avengers 4, the heavily-anticipated follow-up to last year’s Infinity War.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the casting earlier today, although little else is known at this stage, as Marvel and Disney are being extremely secretive about the film, having not even revealed the title.
It it unknown which character Katherine Langford will play, but following today’s announcement, individuals “with knowledge of the project” told The Wrap that she has already completed filming her scenes.
Infinity War ended with Josh Brolin‘s bad guy Thanos snapping his fingers and erasing half the universe from existence, including many main Avengers characters like Spider-Man, Star Lord and Black Panther.
While it’s a safe bet that all three will be back in some way, in that Tom Holland and Chris Pratt have signed on for sequels, and Black Panther 2 is all but a given for Chadwick Boseman, how and why remains to be seen.
Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel character is expected to play a major role in the upcoming sequel, along with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly from the Ant-Man films.
