The first trailer for The Dressmaker, the movie we never knew we were so bloody excited for until about 20 minutes ago, is upon us, and has basically confirmed that Kate and Liam are the new Kate and Leo.
The film, based on the popular novel by Rosalie Ham, tells the story of a scandalous 1950s woman who goes to work in the fashion houses of Paris, then returns to her small Victorian town to make over local girls and romance a dashing footy player.
In the below trailer, Kate Winslet parades around the outback in a series of devastatingly on-point vintage frocks, while Liam Hemesworth whips off his shirt to display a devastatingly on-point abdominal situation.
Her Aussie accent also appears to be surprisingly strong:
The Dressmaker, shot entirely on location in Victoria, was directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, and also stars Judy Davis, Sarah Snook and Hugo Weaving.

The film is out October 22 in Australia.
