On Friday 1 July in a beautiful bias cut gown designed by John Galliano, Kate Moss got married to her long time boyfriend, The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince.
I’ve never wanted to attend another celebrity wedding more than this one. (And we’ve all wanted to partake in a few celeb weddings in the past, amirite!? LOL!?!)
Shirley Bassey performed live. Moss’s former fiance, baby-daddy and Dazed & Confused founder, Jefferson Hack, spun tunes at the reception. Mario Testino was the official photographer. Bryan Ferry, Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, and The Clash’s Mick Jones were among the guests, as well as our new favourite celebrity child Lila Grace Moss.
After the epic three day nuptial extravaganza, the bride and groom exited the Cotwalds by helicopter en route to their honeymoon destination.
Rumours are rife that The Kills will be joined by Mrs Hince when they tour Australia as part of the Splendour In The Grass lineup. Kate is no stranger to festivals, and has often been photographed at notorious mud pit, Glastonbury, prettily striding over the mud canopy of the grounds looking impossibly gorgeous in a pair of gumboots. She is however unfamiliar with Australia having never made the visit to our shores. There has been no official word, but it wouldn’t surprise us if Kate turned up with Jamie.
Firstly, surely the newlyweds would want to be together for the first month of their marriage and Kate has been a regular attendee at The Kills’ live performances when the band have been on tour. And besides isn’t she desperate for a visit? – We’ve got koalas.
