Your boy Karl Stefanovic has sealed his love for partner Jasmine Yarbrough at a surprise commitment ceremony in Sydney’s northern beaches, and to nobody’s particular surprise, you did not score an invite to this event.
The ceremony was held at a private house in Palm Beach, a $13 million compound owned by former Crown Resorts chairman Rob Rankin, and frequently used to host lavish parties for Sydney’s social set.
A select group of family and close friends attended, among them various Channel Nine personalities, although if today’s tabloids are any indication, an unwanted paparazzi drone did manage to make an incursion at some point.
While commitment ceremonies are not legally binding as marriages are, Karlos and Jasmine are reportedly planning to take week-long honeymoon in the South Pacific, and after the festivities, he told the Sunday Telegraph:
“We are very much in love. We clicked right from the start. It’s a commitment ceremony. It was lovely.”
Karl Stefanovic went public with his new relationship several months after his split from former wife Cassandra Thorburn, and his engagement was revealed in February, after Yarbrough was spotted wearing a hefty $120k engagement ring.
His split form Thorburn was a bitter one – she has previously said that her former husband is “dead” to her, and last month, when asked about her thoughts on his new relationship, she didn’t hold back, telling Fairfax:
“I am just focused on helping those affected by the ever-changing landscape of my ex-husband’s life, to navigate it. His engagement doesn’t register with me on any other level.”
43-year-old Stefanovic and 34-year-old Yarbrough have been together around a year.
