Wise Queer Eye angel Karamo Brown has revealed he and Fab Five pal Antoni Porowski had some full-on drama during the show’s first season.

In an interview with E!News to promote his recently published memoir Karamo: My Story of Embracing Purpose, Healing, and Hope, the culture expert said the pair had shared an “extreme amount of conflict.”

“We did not talk to each other at all during season one even though we were shooting together,” Karamo told E!

Despite the tension, the pair kept things professional during filming.

“On camera, it was always about that person [the episode’s hero] and about creating something successful, so that was genuine,” he continued. “Before we would go on camera, we would say to each other, ‘This is not about us. It’s about this person.’”

But according to Karamo, things were so bad that once the cameras stopped rolling Antoni “didn’t want me to come near him.”

YIKES.

Karamo didn’t spill all the hot tea – he said you’ll have to listen to his podcast for the full sticheroo – but he did reveal a “toxic third party” had sparked the drama.

“Our personalities got along, but then a third party got involved and once that third party got involved, he and I couldn’t even talk to each other. We were too busy hearing rumours of what this third party was spreading about both of us.”

Once the pair realised what was actually going on, they sat each other down and cut the bullshit.

“We were like, why did we just go through all those months of b.s,” he said.

And all was well.
