Kanye’s Legit Putting Out An 8-Bit Video Game About His Mum Up In Heaven

Guys, we don’t know how to tell you this, but Kanye is making a video game about his mum travelling through the gates of heaven. That’s not a joke.

“I worked on a video game and I wanted to show y’all,” he said somewhere near the end of Yeezy Season 3, taking a break between dropping his new album / straight-up fiyah and torturing models to play the trailer (twice).

“The idea of the game is, my mum travelling through the gates of heaven.”

That’s his mum, Donda, who passed away in 2007 (RIP).

Heaven looks pretty AF, hey.

It’s called ‘Only One: The Game‘, and we have absolutely no idea how close this is to being a reality. There was no mention of dates or publishers, or even gameplay. Is it like Flappy Bird? Do you hit a cloud and die, again?

It takes its name from his 2014 track ‘Only One‘, which is about a fictional conversation between his mum and his daughter North. Sample lyrics:
And when you cry, I will cry

And when you smile, I will smile
And next time when I look in your eyes
We’ll have wings and we’ll fly

If / when the game drops, it’ll be another story of success in the life of Kanye West. He told the Yeezy Season 3 crowd that everybody talked shit about him making a game, but he’ll show ’em.

“No, you don’t understand,” he said. “I go out and meet with everybody in San Fran, and they’ll diss the fuck out of me. And I’ll be like, ‘I wanna make a game,’ and they’ll be like, ‘Fuck you! That was hard to do, bro!’.”

Lowkey dying to play this tbqh with you.
