Kacey Musgraves has pulled out the classic “I was hacked” defence, after she was caught chucking a like on an extremely gross Tweet about Taylor Swift.
In case you missed it, withered husk of a 90s rapper Kid Rock came for the singer in a Twitter tirade yesterday, saying about her:
“Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”
Fans noticed that Musgraves had liked this, although several hours later, the like was removed, and the singer said “yoooo – my account was hacked. I’ve been working all day and just got on Twitter.”

Some were sceptical as to why a rogue operative would hack into her account just to do this one extremely specific thing and then smoke-bomb outta there.
A few months back, Kacey Musgraves was one of several celebrities who liked an Instagram post in which Scooter Braun‘s wife unloaded on Swift, so this isn’t exactly unprecedented.
Nonetheless, she’s sticking to her guns and claiming it wasn’t her.
In a subsequent Notes App apology, she claimed that a screenshot of her liking the Kid Rock Tweet was Photoshopped, and that she and Taylor have “connected” and are cool.

In summary, then, either Kacey was hacked, or someone got creative with Photoshop, OR she liked a mean Tweet then later felt bad about it and undid it.
We may never know for sure.
