The advantages of being extremely famous and good-looking, I’ve always imagined, is that the brutal feeling of rejection is basically non-existent. Everybody loves you. Everybody wants to either be you or be with you. Never have you walked into a room and found that nobody noticed your arrival, or indeed, would care if you left it.
Today, these assumptions came crumbling down, because Justin Bieber of all people attempted the ol’ Instagram DM slide and was rejected anyway.
He messaged a gym’s in Georgia, USA, trying to find the identity of the woman featured in its last post.
The woman in question, 22-year-old gym trainer Jessica Gober, posted screenshots of the exchange to Twitter.
“Did this actually just happen…. lmao,” she tweeted. “Justin Bieber just messaged the gym that I work at and asked who I was hahahaha WTF.”

“Who is that girl,” Bieber said, adding a heart emoji to prove, idk, that he wasn’t typing with his dick. “In ur latest post.”

Meanwhile her gym, Fitness on Broughton, is relishing in the attention, and enjoying the boost from a meagre 73 Instagram followers to well over 1,000 in the space of a couple days.
It’s not clear how Biebs even stumbled across the post in the first place – it’s not hashtagged or anything – but it’s not the first time he’s thirsted via IG. He literally once posted a pic of a random hottie asking his millions of followers “omg who is this!!”; she was later revealed to be a 16-year-old babysitter who then snapped up a modelling contract.
