Julia Roberts Is Losing Her Goddamn Mind In Amazon’s ‘Homecoming’ Trailer

Amazon Prime Video has unleashed the first full trailer for Homecoming, the TV series adaption of the hit psychological thriller podcast of the same name.

From creators Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg, Homecoming tells the story of caseworker Heidi Bergman who is employed at an experimental facility named Homecoming. The facility helps war veterans transition back to civilian life.

Four years later Heidi has started a new life, working as a waitress and living with her mother (Sissy Spacek). Life is going well until she receives a phone call from a Department of Defence auditor (Shea Whigham) asking why Heidi left the facility. The thing is, Heidi’s story doesn’t actually line up with what went down at Homecoming bringing forth the question of what the facility was/is really up to.

None other than Julia Roberts stars as Heidi Bergman while Bobby Cannavale, Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, and Dermot Mulroney also costar.

Sam Esmail, director of the very good Mr. Robot, helms the series.

As for the actual Homecoming trailer, it starts off all nice and dandy and then the intensity just builds and builds and builds.

At one point Roberts’ character can be heard saying “We’re here to help” over and over again.

Enjoy.

Homecoming season one will debut on Amazon Prime Video, November 2.

In the meantime, you can listen/re-listen to the podcast HERE

David Schwimmer, Oscar Isaac, Catherine Keener, Amy Sedaris, and David Cross all lend their voice talents to the podcast which is told through phone calls, therapy sessions, and overheard conversations.
