Die-Hard ‘Queer Eye’ Fan Has JVN’s Face Tattooed, Wants Other 4 Boys Next

There are various ways that a super fan can show their undying devotion to the celebs they stan. They can like every single social media post they upload. They can slide into their DMs. Heck, they can even stalk them at the airport when they’re in town. But getting your fave celeb’s face permanently inked on your body has to be the biggest homage a fan can pay to a top notch star like Queer Eye‘s Jonathan Van Ness.

Chris Sutton, a die-hard fan of the Netflix series and more importantly its beloved hair guru, unveiled the lush tatt via his Instagram and praised the star in his caption.

“Can you believe?? Today I had the honor to sit down with @apropertattoo for this amazing portrait of @jvn
As many of you know, I grew up in a small town in rural America and did not have many (any) queer people to look up to. Back in February of this year, @netflixdecided to reboot the show @queereye.”

“Upon watching the show, I was instantly drawn to Jonathan and his energy. But what I loved more was his message to kids, especially those kids in small town, America. That it’s ok to be your absolute authentic self and cut out toxic people from your life. If I had someone like @jvnto look up to when I was younger, I may have ended in a completely different place.
This past May, I did decide to make some changes in my life and I began a new career in a field that I had been scared to jump into. I’m super thankful for the inspiration and message that this show has provided and I’m looking forward to continuing my journey, a little bit more #Myself.”

After the post did the ’rounds online, JVN himself praised the super fan via his Insta Story, saying that it’s “a first” for him.

The Chicago based man reshared Van Ness’ excited post as you bloody well would.

He also praised his supporter via the following Insta comment:

But why stop at one queer guy when you can have the entire Fab 5? Speaking with The Blast, Sutton revealed that he plans to have all five boys inked on his bod including TanAntoniBobby and Karamo.

He told the brand it’s “my way of showing appreciation for a sensational group of individuals who have been able to touch the lives of so many people in such an interesting and unexpected way.”

He says he got the idea after Chicago tattoo artist Ricki Proper posted a sketch of JVN on his Insta, prompting him to immediately reach out and book an appointment to have the portrait tattooed on his leg.

Ricki, who is a proud member of the LGBTQ community, also told The Blast, “It’s nice to know that folks are seeing these shows in mainstream media and maybe allowing them to see that our community IS thriving and IS such a wonderful place to find yourself in.”

In total, the tatt took about two hours to complete, with the most time spent on “those luscious locks.” The other four lads will reportedly take under six months to complete, and will cost roughly US $1,200.

Here’s hoping Antoni’s mug comes with a side of guac, or at least a cropped sweater.
