Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness announced this week that he had married his partner and best friend Mark Peacock, a very cute and refreshing piece of news to start the year.

Overnight, he came through with a few more details of how they met, and even shared a couple of cheeky wedding snaps as well. Taking to Instagram, he wrote:

“We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates whilst I was on comedy tour. At the end of that time I was taking my mom, aunt & friends on a mini break to Amsterdam. I wanted [Mark] to come with but, was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple weeks worth’s of dates to come meet my mom & and friends on a mini break? Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same.”

He also shared a selection of photos of their favourite moments together, ranging from a reenactment of Beyoncé‘s ‘Single Ladies‘ video to the pair dressed in white for their nuptials.

In a post of his own, Peacock spoke about his past year with Jonathan Van Ness, saying:

“2020 brought on more changes than I’ve ever been a part of before. I left London and moved across the Atlantic, got dressed up for numerous seriously hilarious zoom quizzes, re-discovered a love for gardening, learn to drive on the left, got married to my soulmate and one true love [Jonathan Van Ness] and adopted a little Jack Russell called Pablo and entered a family with 4 amazing cats.”

The Queer Eye boys started filming season six of the popular show last year in Texas, although production was paused due to COVID, and the premiere date is still unknown.
