Jonah Hill Did Too Much Fake ‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Coke, Ended Up In Hospital

Three years on, The Wolf Of Wall Street is the gift that keeps on giving, and today, we’ve learned that Jonah Hill did so much fake blow on the set of the film that he ended up going to the real hospital.
Hill and his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio hoovered up miles and miles of white powder in their portrayal of coked-up stockbrokers living the high life, although the official line on that is that the actors were actually given vitamin powder.
This week, Hill told interviewer Bill Simmons that he snorted up so many, um, vitamins that his system ended up all out-of-whack, and he developed bronchitis for three weeks. Hill said:
“I had to be hospitalised. If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day. I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my fucking head.”
Hill explained that he typically uses Red Bull to get himself jittery and jacked up when a role requires it, adding:
“It’s interesting pretending to be on drugs. I’ll use music. I’ll make a playlist for every scene, so I’ll try to make, like, music that [makes me feel] jittery and chaotic … and then just drink a ton of coffee and Red Bull.”
War Dogs, starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, is out now.
