Jojo Siwa Begged Movie Producers To Cut A Scene Where She’s Supposed To Kiss A Male Actor

Recently-out star Jojo Siwa has begged producers of her upcoming movie, Bounce, to remove a scene that she has yet to film where she’s supposed to kiss a male actor.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in their annual Pride issue, in which she graces the cover, she said that she feels uncomfortable about the kiss both because it’s with a man and also because she’s in a relationship with girlfriend, Kylie Prew.

“I’m madly in love and I do not want to kiss another human. Especially because it’s a man,” Jojo Siwa told EW.

“That’s what they look at me as, not some character, not some fictional thing. And so it’s going to be a little weird,” she added.

“I’m not about it,” she continued, referring to straight kisses. “I’m trying to get it pulled so bad. It’ll happen. It’ll get pulled.”

An insider later told Variety magazine that the “script isn’t essential and can certainly be cut if she’s not comfortable with it.”

Apparently the male lead hasn’t even been cast in the movie yet, due to delays with the pandemic, and therefore Jojo Siwa is determined to get the scene cut before they select an actor.

Bounce is an adaptation of the young-adult book by Megan Shull, Bounce. It’s being directed by To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before filmmaker Susan Johnson and is expected to drop at the end of the year.

Jojo Siwa came out as gay in January and later told People that she doesn’t want to be labelled based on her sexuality.

“I don’t know — bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight. I always just say ‘gay’ because it just kind of covers it, or ‘queer’ because I think the keyword is cool,” she said.

“I like ‘queer,’ ” Siwa continued. “Technically, I would say that I am pansexual, because that’s how I have always been my whole life is just like, my human is my human.”

Jojo Siwa is best known for her role on Dance Moms, before coming a global tween sensation.
