John Krasinski’s Next Project Is A Sci-Fi Thriller So Yay For More Screams

John Krasinski, man holding all our hearts, is reportedly in the works to take on a sci-fi thriller as his next project.

Nobody’s even over A Quiet Place yet.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively shared how Krasinski will re-team with producers from his horror flick including Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form for Life on Mars. And just like A Quiet Place, Paramount are in the works to land it.

Although, for the moment it appears Krasinski will not star in the film, just direct and produce but it all still sounds very exciting.

Life on Mars is based on the short story We Have Always Lived On Mars by Cecil Castellucci. It tells the story of Nina, a descendant of one of the last remaining human colonies on Mars – a human colony that was completely abandoned by Earth following a cataclysm. Nina discovers she can breathe the toxic atmosphere on the planet which her colony rejoice in. The people, who now believe life on Mars is possible look to a brighter future… but as it turns out things aren’t as black and white as they seem. It’s all very mysterious.

It’s very early days but if A Quiet Place is any indicator, nobody would be surprised if it were to be another smash hit.

A Quiet Place, from a budget of $17 million, made an estimated $50 million after its opening weekend at the box office with both your average cinema-goers and film critics praising the film for its incredible ability to make you shit ya pants.

The film was directed by, co-written by, and starred Krasinski alongside his wife Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and hearing-impaired actor Millicent Simmonds.

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the the bloody intense movie by now so there’s no need for a synopsis. Instead, here’s a clip of Emily Blunt’s character trying to silently give birth.

Lovely.
