Jimmy Kimmel Really Wanted Stormy Daniels To Break The NDA She Did Or Did Not Sign

The fact of the matter is, if you’re quoted in a very lengthy interview describing in great detail the time that you had sex with then reality TV show dipshit and current dipshit head of the US executive branch Donald Trump, people are going to have a lot of questions when you suddenly claim that that is not the case.

As has widely been reported, it’s been alleged that Trump paid out $164,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 election in order to hush up an affair the pair (allegedly) had at a celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in 2006. Understandably, this has garnered a lot of attention.

Just hours prior to her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, Daniels issued a statement unequivocally denying that any sweaty, golfy sex happened between her and Trump:

Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago.

The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 2011, 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying the affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened. I will have no further comment on this matter.

On the show, however, Kimmel wasn’t absolutely convinced, pointing out that the signature on the document doesn’t match her regular signature, something she seemingly agreed to. He then proceeded to grill her over whether or not she had signed a non-disclosure agreement, pointing out that if she hadn’t signed one, she could just say she hadn’t, but that if she had, she would be unable to say so either way, to which she replied “You’re so smart, Jimmy.

Frankly, it was extremely weird, quite awkward, and, at times, kinda gross. Overall it gives the impression that she either definitely did do it and is hamstrung by legalese, or that she didn’t do it and is courting publicity for the tour she is on. Given the insane details in her story (specifically the bit about sharks) and the fact that she did the interview well before his ‘political’ career, I am inclined to believe it.

In an email to The Guardian following the episode, Daniels’ attorney said that she was just having a laugh: “She was having fun on Kimmel and being her normal playful self. The signature is indeed hers as she signed the statement today in the presence of me and her manager, Gina Rodriguez.” Case closed forever, I guess.
