The Obamas Sent Jennifer Lopez And A-Rod A Beautiful Note Of Congratulation

Earlier this month, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement when she casually flashed a diamond the size of a small country while away on vacation.

Now, in an extremely lovely and moving gesture, former President Barack Obama has sent them a note of congratulation on their engagement from him and wife Michelle Obama.

The note, which came on some handsome-looking personalised stationery and was addressed to Jennifer and Alex (bless), read:

“Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama”

Rodriguez shared a copy of the note to Twitter, along with the caption “this means the world to us.” Yes, indeed, this one would be going straight to the pool room, for sure:

The Obamas have a history with Jennifer Lopez that dates back quite a while – she and then-partner Marc Anthony were guests at his inauguration all the way back in 2009, while the Yankees visited the White House back in 2010, so there’s a good chance A-Rod got to know them then.

J-Lo and Michelle Obama also made a very sparkly appearance at this year’s Grammys, along with Lady Gaga and Jada Pinkett Smith.
