Well Alex Rodriguez may just be the biggest killjoy around, with word on the street being: he’s not at all thrilled about his (very recent) ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez reuniting with her (17 years ago) ex-fiancé Ben Affleck.
Rumours are heating up around the pair, with Ben’s visit to Jen’s house last weekend the first reported sighting of the reunion in action. We all tried to manage our expectations by telling ourselves it could very well just be a “two pals catching up” visit.
But today, we’ve basically got confirmation the two are bumping uglies again thanks to the Daily Mail obtaining pics of them on a week-long holiday in Montana and E!’s sources confirming that their “chemistry is unreal”. Too bloody right it is, am I the only person who remembers this iconic moment in music video history???
Anyway, according to another report from E!, A-Rod is not absolutely screaming with joy that these two are seemingly back together. In fact, it seems he was blindsided by the whole thing.
A source told E! that “A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”
I have visions of J.Lo trying get get A-Rod off the phone because Ben’s in the same room. Classic sitcom stuff.
The source adds that Alex Rodriguez is “saddened” by her lightning-fast reunion with Ben Affleck given that they only broke up a month ago, claiming that the ex-baseball star has even reached out to Jennifer Lopez to say that he’s “upset”.
This may be crazy, but Alex, doll, you’ve got your own slew of exes to reunite with! Make it a trend! Give Madonna a call! If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em, after all.
