Jennifer Lawrence & Emma Stone Bonded Over Having The Same ‘Stalker’

W Magazine‘s Best Performances issue has just hit stands and it’s a real doozy.

The mammoth portfolio issue features six different covers featuring twelve of Hollywood‘s most celebrated actors, posing in pairs.

Produced in partnership with British Vogue and French Vanity Fair, the covers are artsy, intimate and beautifully shot by Juergen Teller, a photog renowned for his humanising aesthetic.

Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are one of the featured pairs and they revealed to the mag how their unlikely friendship unfolded in a candid YouTube interview.

“Jennifer Lawrence and I both had the same stalker, John the Orchestra Guy,” says Stone at around the 5:25 mark.

“He would text us both and say things like ‘I’m running late on my way to the soundstage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Text me back and let me know you got this.’ He wasn’t really a stalker. He must have worked at a studio or something, because he had a lot of people’s numbers. Jen and I texted for a year before we actually met. As she was driving to my house, she thought, Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy? And I thought, Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy? So Jen calls me and says, ‘I just want to make sure you’re not John the Orchestra Guy.’ I wasn’t. And we met. It’s our adorable love story.’”

Watching the pair riffing on each other is pretty neat, because they’re clearly best friends. Either that, or they’re really good actors. (…)

The five other covers are too glorious to ignore, so here they are:

Mary J. Blige and Tom Hanks

Gal Gadot and James Franco

Daniela Vega and Robert Pattinson

Saoirse Ronan and Andrew Garfield

and lastly, but certainly not least, our ‘Strayans Margot Robbie and Nicole Kidman.

B e a utiful.
