Jennifer Aniston And Tig Notaro Sworn In As Netflix’s ‘First Ladies’

Netflix have enlisted the talents of Jennifer Aniston and Tig Notaro to play the United States President and First Lady, respectively, in a new political comedy called First Ladies.

As you can guess by the name, the film’s about America’s first ever female president Beverly Nicholson and First Lady Kasey Nicholson.

Deadline copped the scoop reporting First Ladies is based on the original pitch written by Notaro and her wife, Stephanie Allynne.

And the movie slogan is a bloody beauty:

“When Beverly and Kasey Nicholson move into the White House, they’ll prove that behind every great woman… is another great woman.”

Aniston you may know from her casual stint on Friends and a bunch of Hollywood flicks. Notaro you may also know from her work as a stand-up comic and actor in her show One Mississippi.

Notaro’s no stranger to the giant streaming service either. Her comedy special, Happy To Be Here will hit Netflix come May 22. Notaro will also be behind the camera of Ellen Degeneres’ upcoming Netflix special.

Aniston, Notaro, and Allynne will produce the film alongside Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Betsy Koch for Gloria Sanchez Productions.

No news yet on a potential release date but we’ll keep you updated.

As for Aniston’s upcoming Netflix flick, you’ll find her starring opposite Adam Sandler in Murder Mystery – a classic Sandler comedy. The film will follow a married couple who become the main suspects in the murder of an elderly billionaire while vacationing in Europe.

All in all, it’s been quite the quality morning for Netflix with reports announcing their merry film A Christmas Prince has earned itself a sequel.

God Bless America.
