Jeff Goldblum Went Full Jeff Goldblum When He Learned About The ‘Spider-Man’ Debacle

Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum is simply on another level. I do not know what that level is but I love it and I respect it. And that’s how I’m going to preface this yarn about Jeff Goldblum reacting to the news that Spider-Man is no longer part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Once more: Disney owns Marvel and Sony owns Spider-Man. Disney wanted a bigger chunk of Peter Parker but Sony wasn’t keen. Neither could agree to new terms so Sony just straight up pulled Spider-Man from the MCU. This also means Marvel big boss Kevin Feige will no longer hold a producing role on any of the Spider-Man films going forward. It’s all been a big fucking yikes.

Now I don’t think Goldblum cares about Spider-Man that much but he cared enough to pretend that he cared while talking to Variety at D23.

So behold, Jeff Goldblum finding out about the Sony x Disney divorce live on camera. At one point, I think his soul exits his body.

(Variety had asked Goldblum about Thor: Love and Thunder / Marvel so this wasn’t just a random outta the blue question.)

I love Jeff Goldblum. So. Much. And as he summed it all up: “It’ll all work out for sure.”

Goldblum had been at D23 to promote his new Disney+ show The World According to Jeff Goldblum which is exactly what its title says. It’s a documentary series about all the things that fascinate the actor like expensive shoes, denim, ice-cream, jewellery, and tattoos. Also in the trailer, Goldblum shows us his skill on the DDR.

You’ll be able to stream The World According to Jeff Goldblum come November 19 when Disney+ becomes available in Australia.
