Original Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis Reveals What The Knives Out Family Are Doing Now

Following reports that Netflix has picked up the rights to the upcoming Knives Out 2 and 3 for a staggering amount of money, the iconic Jamie Lee Curtis has given her take on just what the family from the original film might be up to.

Jamie Lee Curtis played Linda, one of many relatives scheming to inherit the fortune of their late father, mystery writer Harlan Thrombey. The toxic brood ultimately lost out to Ana De Armas‘ nurse Marta, and were left fuming as she stared at them from the balcony of the family home.

In a post to her Instagram, Curtis gave an exhaustive run-down of what they’ve been up to since then, saying:

“To clear up any rumors, the Thromby family is in family counseling and the therapist suggested they stay away from Benoit Blanc [Daniel Craig] in the future. Linda was fine as she kicked her loafer wearing prick of a husband, sorry Don Johnson to the curb. The rest of them are hustling. Ransom [Chris Evans] is apparently in the knitting sweater business, a new skill he picked up in the slammer. Joni [Toni Collette] has some vaginal scented bath bomb, Walt [Michael Shannon] is self publishing his memoir.”

As for whether any of the family will be appearing in the second film, Jamie Lee Curtis cleared that up too, saying:

“NONE of us will be joining Mr. Blanc in Greece. As the family spokesperson we wish the filmmakers all our best in their new venture.”

While it’s sad that we won’t get another top-tier Jamie Lee performance from Knives Out 2, this does confirm the intriguing bit of news from earlier this week that the sequel will soon start filming in Greece, and will have a Greek setting.

It makes sense that the second film will feature a (mostly) new cast, as Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc is modeled after Agatha Christie-style murder mysteries, where detectives like Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple took on all-new mysteries every time.
