When it comes to Oprah’s least favourite things, James Frey might place above world hunger and Tom Cruise’s dirty shoes. You may remember Frey as the author of “A Million Little Pieces” a memoir which turned out to be a million little fabrications. Suffice to say, Frey was kicked out of Oprah’s Book Club.
In an attempt to make a name for himself that isn’t immediately associated with the word liar, Frey will collaborate with Entourage producers Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson to create a HBO drama series about the porn industry. The one-hour drama will centre around “a giant video company under siege from Internet competitors and a girl from the Midwest whose boyfriend convinces her to move to Los Angeles to become a star.“
Frey is writing the pilot for the series, which, as he assures the New York Post will “tell the type of stories no one else has told before, and go places no one has gone before,“. LIAR!
