Rose, who is pregnant with her second bub, plugged the weight loss company’s new tea which claims it can help mums feel less bloated and nauseous.

“It’s safe to take while pregnant and breastfeeding,” she wrote. “This is not a detox tea – it’s specifically designed to help reduce occasional nausea and support digestion during pregnancy – haters stop riding the bandwagon and think for yourselves.”

To this, Jamil tweeted: “FLAT TUMMY PRODUCTS FOR… PREGNANT WOMEN? Is this FDA approved? Are we… fucking… KIDDING.”

Jamil also tagged the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in her tweet.

On its website, Flat Tummy Co says those interested in the tea should consult with doctors before consuming. The site also says none of its statements about this specific tea has been evaluated by the FDA.

Jamil has repeatedly denounced celebrities like the Kardashians for flogging appetite suppressant and detox products. Earlier this year, the actor launched a change.org petition titled “Stop celebrities promoting toxic diet products on social media,” which has since attracted almost 250,000 signatures.

In the petition, Jamil quoted Professor Stephen Powis, a medical doctor, who said such celebrity endorsements have a “damaging effect on the physical and mental health of young people.”

“Highly influential celebrities are letting down the very people who look up to them, by peddling products which are at best ineffective and at worst harmful,” Powis told the BBC.

“Social media companies have a duty to stamp out the practice of individuals and companies using their platform to target young people with products known to risk ill health.”

Jamil is a prominent voice for the body positive movement. She is the founder of Instagram account @i_weigh, created to celebrate everyone of every size and their lives beyond their exteriors.
