J-Law Rightly Refuses To Apologise For Shit After Leaked Pole Dance Footage

First, a hypothesis: every time you drink in the presence of friends and excellent tunes, the likelihood of you dancing without care increases*. That’s not even a bad thing, because unbridled joy is actually something to be celebrated in these dire times.

Jennifer Lawrence recognises this fact, ’cause she’s hit back at critics who’ve latched onto a recently-leaked vid of the Hollywood mainstay delivering an impromptu pole dance routine.

After video emerged** of the actor latching onto a pole at Vienna’s Beverly Hills Club and giving her moves a red hot crack, Lawrence took to Facebook to assure the world she simply DGAF.

“Look, nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet,” Lawrence writes.
“It was one of my best friend’s birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun. I’m not going to apologize, I had a BLAST that night.”
In response to media claims that she was essentially just roaming around the club in a bra, Lawrence confirmed “Ps that’s not a bra it’s an Alexander Wang top and I’m not gonna lie, I think my dancings pretty good. Even with no core strength.”

So, eat shit, fashion police.

The leak of the video comes several months after Ryan Collins, the man convicted of the large-scale photo hack which saw nude images of Lawrence leaked online, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.

Through that perspective, it’s pretty easy to see why Lawrence would choose to address the publication of footage taken without her knowledge, nor consent.

FWIW, Lawrence was in town to film her new flick Red Sparrow, in which she portrays a ballerina who falls into a Russian spy agency. You can probably expect to see some of her (consensually-filmed) moves when that flick drops later this year.

*The author of this article is not as excellent as Jennifer Lawrence, and consequently tries incredibly hard to reserve his inebriated movements to subdued headnods.
**We’ve chosen not to include the video here, as it was obviously shot without her permission, and released for the apparent purpose of making Lawrence feel shitty. If you want to see it, that’s on you, pal.
