It is a truth universally acknowledged that a J.K. Rowling in possession of a Twitter account must be in want of using it for good.
There was that time she shut down a Serena Williams twitter troll, casually threw an entire cauldron of shade at the Westboro Baptist Church, and told Neville Longbottom to put his trouser wand away. (That last one was a joke.) (Probably.)
Today’s heartwarming tale comes in the form of writing advice, but like all of Rowling’s teachings, Harry Potter-related or no, can be applied to most situations. She’s like Mother Teresa with a Twitter account.
Entering stage left, a struggling young writer who’s close to giving up.
@jk_rowling You inspired me to write. However, in Egypt, girls can’t do anything freely as boys. They laugh at me when I say I am a writer.

And then, stage right, to thunderous applause from the audience:
Don’t you dare let their laughter extinguish your ambition. Turn it into fuel! Big hugs from one writer to another x https://t.co/w3lYXAosJj

Write it, cut it, paste it, save it.
