It Sounds Like There Could Be More ‘Crash Bandicoot’ Coming In Future

It may shock you to learn after the insane success of the N. Sane Trilogy remasters for the PlayStation 4 that Activision is actively considering giving us some fresh new Crash Bandicoot.

Of course, the remaster trilogy is great, but ultimately its the exact same games we played back on the PSOne, just with a shiny new coat of paint. (The sometimes punishing difficulty was also preserved.) We haven’t had brand new Crash in yonks.
Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg teased that the company is “experimenting” with the loveable shorts-wearing bandicoot right now. They’re trying to work out if the massive popularity of the remaster actually shows people care about Crash, or whether its just a niche market of diehards.
We know there’s a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things.

Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have.

So keep your ear to the ground, Crash fans. Ya might just get a fresh new game where a weird bandicoot jumps up and down on boxes in new and exciting ways.
