Gather round parochial film-goers here’s the trailer for new Australian drama The Waiting City, the first Australian film shot entirely in India. Written and Directed by Claire McCarthy The Waiting City first premiered last year at the Toronto International Film festival and get a national release in Australia on the 15th of July. It stars Radha Mitchell (Finding Neverland) and Joel Edgerton (Star Wars: Episode II & III) as an outwardly happy Australian couple who journey to Calcutta to collect their adopted baby. On arrival however, they find that the arrangements are yet to be finalized and their relationship deteriorates. Needless to say hilarity does not ensue.
