With the announcement of her upcoming role in a new Spike Lee joint, Canadian model Irina Lazareanu can now be counted among the rarest of slashies – the triple threat. We love Lazareanu to death and would hate to label her a dilettante but her Sean Lennon assisted music career resulted in a Chanel performance and not much else. Hopefully her foray into acting bears more fruit.
According to Grazia, the multi-tasking 27-year-old was asked to audition for the lead in Lee’s new romantic comedy and after flying to New York for her screen test, landed the role on the spot. Based on the speed of Lazareanu’s casting alone, we’ll assume there’s some serious acting chops lurking beneath those mesmerizing doe eyes. More details as they come…
