We were always gonna get a new iPhone this year, but a couple of rumours from reliable sources have started circulating that we’ll be getting it sooner – and bigger.
The iPhone 6 launch was initially thought to be set for September, but that’s been brought forward to August, and now there’s speculation that in addition to the standard 4.7 inch screen, it’ll also ship in a larger 5.5 inch version (referred to by some tech blogs as a “phablet”, which we’re not gonna do. Have some class, please, guys.)
According to the unusually detailed rumours, the 5.5 inch iPhone will apparently be a more expensive, limited run due to its sapphire screen, which sounds like a ridiculous extravagance, but who knows? Maybe it’ll give you greater control and dexterity while you’re sliding crushable candy around a screen.
