Abbie Chatfield Calls Out The ‘Boys Club’ On I’m A Celeb After Ash’s Gross Behaviour Last Night

I’m A Celeb star Abbie Chatfield has reacted to the gross remarks made about her by fellow contestant Ash Williams on last night’s episode of the show.

ICYMI: At the start of the ep, we see that the Bachelor star slept in comedian Ash Williams’ sleeping bag and the pair are coming something of an item.

Shortly after, singer and model Alli Simpson entered the camp and Ash tells the lads that he regrets getting with Abbie ‘cos he’d rather hit on Alli, saying her arrival into the camp is “one day too late.” Yep, really. This is a 38-year-old man, mind you.

“Yeah it’s very tough because in all seriousness, like, she is way more my type,” Ash told Grant Denyer, referring to Alli Simpson.

He later says that he regrets telling Abbie that he enjoyed their evening together.

“So this morning, I was sitting by the fire and I said, ‘Last night’s cuddle was good.’ I said, ‘You know, maybe we could do that again,’” he said.

Ash’s comments were met with universal backlash from viewers who called him out for his treatment of the younger ladies.

As the episode was airing, Abbie Chatfield took to her Instagram to share her thoughts on how Ash treated her.

She posted a series of selfies, the first of which showed her pulling a face. “Is all I have to say,” she captioned the pic.

“If you think your love life is bad, imagine consistently being second best on national TV,” she captioned the second pic.

She is, of course, referring to her stints on both The Bachelor, where she failed to win the heart of Matt Agnew, and Bachelor In Paradise, where she was rejected by Ciarran Stott but, I mean, can you really call that a loss?

Abbie Chatfield then addressed Ash Williams’ sentiment that spending the night with Abbie in the ep was “bad timing” as it was just before Alli entered the camp and he would’ve preferred to be with her.

“Yeah super funny. Super good. Sorry for trapping you with ‘bad timing’,” she wrote.

“Sorry you asked me to stay in your bed and then again the next night.

“Love feeling like charity work.”

In a subsequent Insta Story, she praises Alli Simpson and it’s revealed that the pair have become good mates which we just bloody love to see.

(Sorry about the gross screenshot. The episode was fucking gnarly in more ways than one).

Abbie Chatfield later told fans that she is too “hurt” to offer up a “feminist rant” about what went down in the ep, which is totally fair.

She added that her “self-esteem hasn’t been good lately and I know you all want me to be the *self-love queen* but uh, it’s like all time low and it was just kind of a kick in the guts and yeah.”

She praised Alli once again, insisting that her statements have nothing to do with the model.

“And I don’t think I have to say this isn’t above Alli. I loved seeing her this week,” she wrote.

Abbie Chatfield once again pointed out that it’s the “third time” she’s been rejected “on TV alone” which has gotta fucken’ suck.

And she concluded by telling her loyal legion of followers not to “troll anyone from the show though because I know you guys would get angry for me but just don’t.”

I’m A Celeb continues tonight at 7:30pm on Ten.
