Illusionist Criss Angel Rushed To Hospital As Vegas Stunt Goes Wrong

Illusionist Criss Angel has been rushed to hospital after losing consciousness on stage while performing a dangerous stunt as part of his his Mindfreak Live! show in Las Vegas.
Witnesses who were present at the performance claim that, around ten minutes into the show, Angel was performing his famed upside-down staightjacket escape when things went wrong.
An audience member named Peter Sehl wrote on Facebook that, after “spinning” for close to two minutes while hanging above the stage, he was let down. “He stopped moving, curtain down.”
Angel performs a version of the stunt at Foxwoods Casino.

Representatives for Angel released a brief statement to media, confirming that he lost consciousness while suspended by his feet during the show, and going on to say:
“He was lowered to the stage and rushed to the hospital where he was evaluated and released early this morning. He is undergoing additional testing today and while it is not yet certain, it is his hope to return to the stage in his hit show Mindfreak Live! at Luxor Las Vegas tonight. He is grateful for the outpouring of love and concern from his fans around the world.”
The performer was due to appear at a Make-A-Wish fundraiser in Nevada the morning after the incident, and instead made a $100,000 donation. He once performed a version of the same straightjacket escape for Oprah, and you can watch it below:
