Iggy Azalea has taken to social media to tear absolute strips off her ex Playboi Carti, saying that he skipped their son’s first Christmas for an album drop, amidst various other negligent parenting acts.
Christmas Day saw the release of Playboi’s Whole Lotta Red, but Iggy Azalea was decidedly not in the holiday spirit, revealing that he cancelled on plans with their son Onyx for the occasion.
“I would never decide to do something of my own free will that meant missing a milestone moment with my son & if you do you’re trash,” she said at the start of a lengthy Twitter tirade.
“Too bad you got an album out but can’t even come to Christmas with your own son,” she said in a follow-up Tweet, adding:
“Imagine not flying out your family on Christmas but you have the girl you cheated on my my entire pregnancy at your album party and magically me and my son can’t come for Christmas any more? TRASH.”
She continued to fume that her ex had skipped out on Christmas with “a child he asked for,” and said:
“To clarify this man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me. So this is very much NOT me being bitter, it’s me not ducking with trifling ass shit that happens at the expense of my son.”
Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti began dating in 2018, and their son was born in June of 2020, but by October, she had confirmed that she was raising the child alone. She went on to say:
“This man was in philly playing PS5 mid pandemic the day my son was born even tho it was a scheduled c section. I had onyx alone completely cause he was my only visitor approved with Covid. We lived together at that time.”
The PS5 was not released until November, but the gist of this seems to be that Playboi skipped out on their son’s birth to play video games, which is a dick move.
On a lighter note, Azalea posted a Christmas photo of her with Onyx, calling him “the only person who can make me smile with teeth daily.”
