Let’s just head straight to the Instagram post, shall we?

Yeah, cool, cool, cool, cool, no doubt, no doubt.

To the details:

V-Wars is an upcoming Netflix series based on the comics of the same name by New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Madberry. It tells the story of a definitely human Luther Swann (Somerhalder), a doctor trying to figure out a monstrous disease which has been transforming humans, including his best friend Michael Fayne, into murderous blood-sucking vampires. As the disease continues to spread, we see Dr. Swann’s world split into two – humans and vampires. And while Dr. Swann races against time to find a cure for the disease, the hungry vampires go underground lead by none other than former bestie Fayne.

QUALITY.

Adrian Holmes (Elysium and 19-2) stars as the best mate turned vampire Fayne. Jacky Lai, Kimberly Sue Murray, and Kyle Breitkopf co-star.

Even though Somerhalder’s playing a human here it appears he’s still copping heat… based on the casual bruises on his knuckles.

Netflix has yet to announce an official release date but we’ll keep you updated.

Meanwhile, ol’ mate and former on-screen brother Paul Wesley has his own new TV show coming out soon except this time instead of being a very old vampire, he’s off robbing banks in a twisted show about modern fairy tales.

This baby’s called Tell Me A Story and co-stars Sex In The City’s Kim Cattrall, Austin Butler, Bill Magnussen, and James Wolk just to name a few.

You can appreciate Wesley with some scruff below… in the seconds before he pulls on a terrifying pig mask and robs a bank.

Tell Me A Story will debut on CBS All Access, October 31. The streaming service is expected to launch in Australia later this year.
