Rosamund Pike & Her Gone Girl Bob Are Back In Amazon’s New Scammer Movie, So Sign Me Up

I Care A Lot, Rosamund Pike

It appears Rosamund Pike is playing another brilliant villain in her new film, I Care A Lot, coming to Amazon Prime Video Australia this February. Consider it firmly on the list.

The trailer for the film will undoubtedly remind you of Gone Girl  – it’s Pike’s hair and delicious enunciation that really does it for me – but this time, Rosamund plays a cunning con-artist.

In I Care A Lot, Marla Grayson (Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike) is a professional, court-appointed guardian for dozens of elderly wards whose assets she seizes and bilks through dubious but legal means.

Together with her business-partner and lover Fran (Eiza González), they set their sights on their latest “cherry”, Jennifer Peterson (two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest) – a wealthy retiree with no living heirs or family. But when their target turns out to have an equally shady secret of her own and connections to a gangster (Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage) Marla is forced to get… creative.

The film originally premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

All I have to say is that unhinged Rosamund Pike is my favourite Rosamund Pike.

In Australia, I Care A Lot will premiere February 19 only on Amazon Prime Video. Coincidentally, you can also find Gone Girl on the streaming platform too.
