Human Glitter Cloud Richard Simmons Hospitalised With “Severe Indigestion”

Fitness guru and entertainer Richard Simmons has been admitted to hospital with “severe indigestion“, which may sound like the most boring news in the world but has some rather ~scandalous~ connotations in conjunction with the podcast ‘Missing Richard Simmons‘.

Simmons, 68, became the subject of the podcast this year in an attempt to investigate his supposed disappearance after he stopped appearing in public in 2014. The podcast fuelled rumours that his disappearance was the result of his housekeeper holding him hostage and preventing him from talking to the outside world.
It managed to garner enough attention that the LAPD got involved in investigating his wellbeing, eventually telling the ‘People’ that the claims were “garbage“:
“There was something about his housekeeper holding him hostage and not allowing people to see him and preventing him from making phone calls, and it was all garbage, and that’s why we went out to see him. None of it is true. The fact of the matter is, we went out and talked to him, he is fine, nobody is holding him hostage. He is doing exactly what he wants to do. If he wants to go out in public or see anybody, he will do that.

“He is perfectly fine and he is very happy. I don’t know what he is going to do, but right now he is doing what he wants to do and it is his business.”
In light of this police report and also several others and also the testimony of both his friends and also his own testimony, it seems like Simmons probably isn’t being held hostage and poisoned by a 60-something-year-old housekeeper and maybe he did indeed just have some wicked bad indigestion.
Simmons’ manager says he’s on the up and up:
“Richard Simmons was hospitalized on Monday at an undisclosed location in California. After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment.

“He’s already feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery.”
And thank God, the world is a much brighter place with him in it (even if he is a recluse).
Who among us wouldn’t stay inside our own houses for three years if we could get away with it?
