HEY FOOTBALL HEAD: Nick Releases More Deets About The ‘Hey Arnold!’ Movie

Our childhood mates at Nickelodeon have dropped more details about the made-for-TV Hey Arnold! movie, which is inexplicably happening for a target audience of… someone, we guess.

It’ll be called Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie, but details of the plot are scarce. Is it set in an actual jungle, like that extremely stupid Rugrats movie? Is this some kind of metaphor for the ‘concrete jungle’ that Arnold lives in? Will anybody even watch this movie? Many, many questions to ponder here.
Here’s Nickelodeon:

The Jungle Movie will feature a storyline that picks up from where the original series ended in 2004 and will resolve unanswered questions and plotlines–including Arnold finally getting answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents.

So if you were someone absolutely stinging to learn about why Arnold lives with his weird grandparents, you’ve been waiting 12 years. 12 painful years.

The old cast is back for the reboot. Lane Toran, who voiced Arnold in the original series and is now some kind of muscled, bearded Instagram hunk, presumably sounds too old and manly to play Arnold, a football-headed boy in a kilt, so he’s playing a different character.
But everyone else seems like they’re back –  Francesca Marie Smith will return as Helga; Anndi McAfee as Phoebe; Justin Shenkarow as Harold; Olivia Hack as Rhonda; Nika Futterman as Olga; Dan Butler as Mr. Simmons and Dan Castellaneta as Grandpa.
Welcome back, football head.
