When blockbuster helmer Zach Snyder announced his decision to cast Ben Affleck as Batman in his upcoming Man Of Steel sequel, Batman vs Superman, the seventh circle of hell opened up.
Part of that has to do with our latent sentimentality for the indelible portrayal Christian Bale provided in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and part of that has to do with Affleck – a smarmy rich guy who has at least one Oscar too many and maybe counts cards sometimes? But guess what? He’s here to stay.
Yesterday, the director shared a sneak peek at the Batfleck in action, providing definitive proof that, yes, the caped crusader will wear 50 shades of black, scowl a lot and have room to flex his six-pack.
