Here’s The Underbelly Game We Never Asked For

Apparently one lurid breast-filled season of Underbelly a year isn’t enough as Screentime launch the Underbelly game. Developed in conjunction with The Project Factory and gaming developers Epiphany Games, Underbelly: Skirmish allows the gamer to side with either the goodies or baddies in their quest for bloody domination.

Unfortunately for the more mammary enamored fans of the franchise, the game looks less Leisure Suit Larry with a gun and more stuttering zombie-like cops’n’robbers. Designed for the iPhones, iPads, and Android devices GTA 5 this aint!

While levels like Lazy Friday At The Strip Club serve merely as a prompt for a different background to the same game-play, developers deserve kudos for venturing into a market and medium as yet to be tested by other Australian films or television shows. Here are a few apps and games we’d like to see.

The Alf Stewart Flamin Drongo App
Become the life of the party at your next social gathering as you dispense randomised Alf Stewart voiced insults from your phone to guests and revelers. Phrases include “Yer bloody great galah!”, “Ya flamin’ Mongrel”, “Strewth, stone the flamin’ crows!”

Toddie’s Crossing
It’s like Frogger but you have to maneuver Toadfish across the Burwood Highway as he makes his way back to Ramsay Street.

Mel B – Subtlety Free
Using the same technology as Siri, the user asks Mel B a question to which they will receive a signature Mel B response. Example:
Music Festival Attending User: “Mel, does my bum look big in this”
Mel B: “I’m just going to say it. As big as it is, it’s not your arse that’s the problem!”
