Here’s A Trailer For Lemony Snicket’s ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’

Netflix just dropped a teaser trailer for ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events‘ and suddenly, the world is a less bleak place.

Our world, that is – Lemony Snicket’s is considerably more dreadful. Eerie eye symbols, squished spiders, and ‘How To Start A Fire’, the book, give us an ill feeling for the fates of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. It’s just how it should be. (And by the by, that’s a Lachrymose Leech trapped in the jar.)

Details not in this trailer are scarce. There’s no release date, no casting announced, and no hint to whether Netflix will drop the entire season at once, or drip feed it to us week by week. Watching the teaser 20+ times seems perfectly reasonable at this point.

Although Mr Snicket – from an undisclosed location – told Variety that “Netflix is risking its reputation and its success by associating itself with my dismaying and upsetting books,” to be honest Stan and Presto could pick up a few pointers in How To Produce Good Content And Gain Market Share.
