Here Are All The Winners From The 4th AACTA Awards

The 4th Annual AACTA Awards are wrapping up soon on Channel 10 – I mean, I hope they are. There’s no such thing as an awards ceremony that’s not interminably long.
If you haven’t braved the televised broadcast but nonetheless have an interest in who received this country’s highest entertainment industry accolades, as you evidently do, here’s a full list of the winners from this evening’s ceremony.
In the feature film component of the evening, internationally-acclaimed horror film The Babadook won big in three categories, including Best Direction, Screenplay and Film – an honour it shared with Russell Crowe’s directorial debut The Water Diviner. Best Actor nods went to industry icon David Gulpilil for his performance in Charlie’s Country and to Sarah Snook, for her utterly transformative and transfixing performance in Predestination. Rose Byrne‘s achievements in the field of H.O.L.L.Y.W.O.O.D. were also recognised through the conferring of the inaugural ‘Trailblazer Award’. What a pioneer [no shade].
On the small screen, the ABC pretty much dominated every category with The Code nabbing four awards and Josh Thomas’s internationally lauded ABC2 comedy Please Like Me earning an AACTA for Best Screenplay and Best Performance in a Comedy for Debra Lawrance, who plays his onscreen mother.
Arguably of more importance, the winners and losers from the red carpet can be found here
